Particle Wave #1

February 10, 2020December 10, 2020 | randpaints
4 x 3 Feet : Oil on Canvas : $1001 SOLD

A painting I saw in a fading dream as I was waking up in the morning. I rarely remember my dreams. I’m also quite sure it was influenced by the works of David Soborido and a conversation with Johnerik Lawson about particle wave duality and the concept of “no blame”. There will be more.

Kintsugi Stones

February 6, 2020July 18, 2022 | randpaints
3 x 4 Feet : Acrylic on Canvas $1100 SOLD

I love LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEE Kintsugi repairs of gold in blue pottery. This was an experiment where I tossed the old paint and dirty brush water from the previous painting onto the canvas to begin its shape and mark-making anchor: I then tried to adapt. Things worked out.

A moody walk under the canopy of fruitful trees. Spontaneously developed over the course of a few layers. Influenced by bushes across from Northside Social in Arlington. The blue is from the Silver Diner’s Decoration.
